Passages From Our Times is a story involving a past that might have been and a future that could be. History is a record of unlikely or impossible events which defied the odds and occurred anyway. This story is written as if it were a book being done by a character within the story. He is James Patrick Kilmurry, and in the story he is the political editor of The New York Chronicle. This newspaper is fictitious. The principal characters are loosely based on American political figures. What are described as past events reflect a “what if” history of America and the world.
