Ian Kelleher is an Irish poet and songwriter. He is a student in University College Cork where he is studying for a degree in Music. This is his first book.
Ian plays folk guitar and writes poems. This is his first book, written whilst suffering from depression, during which time he began writing poems. His poems are influenced by the lyrics of popular music and song more so than the traditional canons of literature.
He enjoys listening to folk music because it is a source of inspiration for him. He has set many of his poems to music on the nylon-string guitar.
His poems are an analysis of the interior world, observations on love, hate, melancholy, despair. He is deeply absorbed in his art and is proud to present this volume of lyrics and poems.

Thought
The weekend is over.
I am nursing a hangover.
Today is the day
Between
Sunday
And
Monday.
A Black hole.
