A wonderful collection of poetry which draws on a lifetime of experience and makes a direct appeal to the readers senses. Childhoods Wounded Heart is Dr. Lewis Regan’s second book of poetry and it reflects the changes that are happening within his own world and the world as a whole.
Satellite’s Shower
Bombarded by the minute
Bombarded by the hour
Do we need all that news
The satellites shower
Do we need all those things
That saturate our screens
With tunes and songs and singalongs
Forgetting we are human beings.
Do we need to know so fast
It’s raining in Sri Lanka
Or a fight broke out on a Russian street
Do we really wanta?
With Internet and E.mail
We’re on the info superhighway
Making many feel they are obsolete
On this overcrowded byway
